Job summary

Lerch Bates in Henderson, NV seeks experienced Field Inspectors to assess existing vertical transportation systems in diverse buildings. You will perform inspections, maintenance audits, modernization evaluations, and produce clear, technically grounded reports for clients.

You will manage your schedule, support project teams, and stay current with elevator codes and industry best practices. Nevada certification eligibility and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• QEI certification or ability to qualify for one.
• Nevada Elevator Special Inspector license or ability to qualify for one.
• Thorough knowledge of conveyance equipment installation, maintenance, and applicable elevator codes.
• Prior experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in elevated and confined environments, including high-rise buildings and elevator shafts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of vertical transportation systems and equipment.
• Perform condition assessments, maintenance audits, and modernization evaluations.
• Document conditions, observations, deficiencies, and recommendations with clear reporting.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and technical recommendations.
• Communicate findings and risks to clients and project teams clearly and professionally.
• Manage your own schedule to complete inspections and deliverables on time.
