Job summary

The Industrial Commission of Arizona seeks an Elevator Inspector in Phoenix to perform on-site safety inspections of elevators, lifts, hoists, and related equipment, and to sign acceptance tags when compliant.

Under general supervision, you will inspect for safety, prepare reports, and advise corrective actions. Remote work within Arizona may be available; the agency supports flexible schedules and a remote work program.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
• Ability to perform on-site elevator inspections and sign safety tags.
• In-depth knowledge of Arizona Elevator Act and OSHA rules.
• Experience with ASME A17.1 and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and consultations statewide to verify code compliance.
• Determine safety of equipment for use based on inspections.
• Prepare complete inspection reports.
• Address non-compliance with codes and advise corrective actions.
• Attend training to enhance Elevator Section skills.
