Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) in Decatur, IL seeks an Elevator Superintendent to oversee daily loading/unloading, sampling, grading, transferring, blending, and storage of goods. You will lead hourly staff, ensure OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance, and drive safety initiatives while maintaining equipment reliability.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a focus on safety, and ability to train others. Background in a similar facility with GMP awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or HS Diploma with 4+ years of on‑the‑job training.
• Proven experience leading hourly staff and ensuring safe, sanitary operations.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day elevator facility operations including loading/unloading, sampling, grading, transferring and storage.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and train staff on safe practices.
• Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with facility management to improve safety, quality, and efficiency; maintain documentation and cost savings ideas.
