Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Seattle, WA is seeking a Project Manager for Modernization. You will oversee modernization projects, coordinate with sales, engineering, and field teams, and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting financial targets.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication within a global elevator company renowned for safety and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum 3 years of technical or sales experience in the elevator industry or related field.
• Prior project management experience preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in a leadership role preferred.
• Solid problem-solving skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in building and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage new installation/modernization projects to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Book projects within one week of award and plan action dates if deadlines are tight.
• Provide approved submittals to Engineering and coordinate with vendors for material readiness.
• Coordinate with Field Superintendent to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Prepare and track change orders and obtain client sign-off before work.
• Ensure invoicing is timely and projects are invoiced and paid to 90% before turnover.
• Engage in professional development to improve knowledge of elevator products and procedures.
