Job summary

Schindler Group in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Project Manager to lead installation and modernization projects for elevators. You will align sales, engineering, and field teams to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets while ensuring outstanding customer relationships.

The role emphasizes proven project management experience, strong communication skills, and collaboration with vendors and superintendents to deliver high quality results and financial success for Schindler.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in elevators or related building systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Strong MS Office & Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage new installation/modernization projects to meet efficiency and profitability targets.
• Review and book projects within one week of award; provide action plan if dates slip.
• Provide approved submittals to Schindler Engineering and vendors; coordinate material delivery.
• Interface with Field Superintendent to track progress and manage completion dates.
• Process change orders and obtain signed customer approvals.
• Ensure timely invoicing and 90% project payments before turnover.
• Participate in professional development programs to enhance product knowledge.
