Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is seeking a Project Manager for Modernization in Nashville, TN. The role centers on managing elevator modernization projects, coordinating with sales reps, customers, engineers and field staff to meet specifications and timelines.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in elevator or related building systems industries, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in either the elevator or related building systems industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage new installation/modernization projects to ensure close-out at required efficiency and profitability.
• Review and book projects within one week of award; provide completion plan if dates cannot be met.
• Provide approved submittals to Engineering and/or local vendors; coordinate material delivery.
• Interface with Field Superintendent to track progress and notify on timelines; propose action plans.
• Seek change notice opportunities; prepare and forward change orders; obtain signed customer approvals.
• Ensure timely invoicing and that projects are invoiced and paid to 90% before turn-over.
• Participate in Company professional development programs to strengthen product knowledge.
