Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; elevator mechanic license/certification current.
• 3+ years as licensed elevator mechanic experienced with traction and rack‑and‑pinion elevators.
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and control logic; familiarity with PM/maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high‑rise vertical transport systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using diagnostic tools.
• Lead elevator modernization projects in coordination with facilities engineering and vendors.
• Read drawings, wiring diagrams, and OEM documentation; document work in CMMS.
• Interface with internal teams and external service providers to ensure uptime.
• Train and mentor junior staff; conduct safety briefings during high‑risk work.
