The role requires 10+ years as a licensed elevator mechanic, traction and rack‑and‑pinion experience, and an active state license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years as a licensed elevator mechanic with traction and rack‑and‑pinion experience.
• Current state elevator license or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vertical transport systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using diagnostic tools.
• Lead elevator modernization projects and coordinate with vendors.
• Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and OEM docs.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and track system health.
• Train junior staff and conduct safety briefings during high‑risk work.
• Support emergency and after‑hours maintenance as needed.
