Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Elevator Mechanic to join our Facilities and Infrastructure Engineering team at Starbase, TX. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-rise and rack-and-pinion elevator systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead modernization projects in a safety-focused environment.

Your role includes reading schematics, documenting work in CMMS, and coordinating with engineers and vendors to maintain uptime and reliability of critical vertical

Qualifications

• 3+ years of licensed elevator mechanic experience in traction or rack-and-pinion systems.
• Current state elevator mechanic license or certification required.
• Experience reading schematics and control logic for elevators.
• Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vertical transport systems including high-rise elevators.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Lead elevator modernization projects with facilities engineering and vendors.
• Read drawings and OEM docs; document activities in CMMS; ensure uptime.
