Job summary

Tenability LLC is seeking an experienced Elevator Mechanic / Site Safety Supervisor for active multi-family and public housing elevator projects in the Bronx. The role combines hands-on mechanical work with oversight of site safety compliance to meet NYC DOB and OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate will perform and supervise elevator tasks while leading safety initiatives, daily walkthroughs, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely progress and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active NYC Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Card (62-Hour preferred or equivalent required).
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certificate.
• Hands-on Elevator Mechanic experience on commercial or NYCHA projects.
• Valid NYC Elevator Agency Inspector or Mechanic Credentials (if applicable).
• Strong leadership, communication, and site management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform elevator installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization tasks on site.
• Serve as the Site Safety Lead, ensuring adherence to NYC DOB, OSHA, and project safety standards.
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs, toolbox talks, and maintain jobsite safety logs.
• Coordinate with project management and prime contractors regarding progress and compliance.
