Job summary

Mid-America Elevator Co LLC (a division of the American Elevator Group (AEG)) in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Modernization Mechanic for full-time service. You will repair and maintain rack & pinion and hydraulic elevators, ensuring safe operation in the local metro area.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a mechanic, can read blueprints and manuals, and can follow safety/procedural testing standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents.
• Experience as a route mechanic.
• Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
• Previous experience with rack & pinion and/or crane repair is helpful.
• CET is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide repair and maintenance of rack & pinion and hydraulic elevators, following established safety, maintenance, and testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates will possess 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents.
• Experience as a route mechanic.
• Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures.
