Job summary

Valcourt in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled woodworker/carpenter to turn raw materials into finished wood products following drawings and specs. You will support production by ensuring high quality, timely, and safe craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include reading fabrication drawings, operating table saws and routers, performing joining, finishing, and quality inspections, and collaborating with design/engineering to optimize processes. Must lift 50+ lbs with team help.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in woodworker/carpenter roles in production/fabrication.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and work to tolerances.
• Experience with finishing techniques and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Operate woodworking machinery and tools (table saws, jointers, planers, routers, sanders, CNC routing).
• Perform hand-tool and power-tool work to produce parts and assemblies.
• Assemble panels using fasteners, adhesives, dowels, and other joinery methods.
• Perform finishing steps (sanding, staining, painting) to meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished components for defects and verify dimensions/tolerances.
• Maintain and calibrate tools; follow safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with design/engineering and production teams to improve processes.
