Job summary

Residential Elevators is hiring an Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Virginia Beach, VA area. This full-time, paid program offers hands-on training with veteran mechanics to learn installing and servicing residential elevators.

Most apprentices are promoted within 12-18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with earning potential of $60K-$90K+ after promotion. Travel up to 90% is required, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to travel up to 90% (regional travel from Virginia Beach, VA).
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and doing hard physical work.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Know how to safely use hand tools.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.

About the Apprentice Program

This full-time, paid position is designed for motivated individuals looking to start a long-term career. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics, learning the skills needed to install and service residential elevators.

Requirements

You must:

• Have high school diploma or GED
• Be able and willing to travel up to 90% (mostly regional travel from Virginia Beach, VA)
