Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Elevators and Escalators) II to oversee a team responsible for testing and acceptance of NYC transit elevators and escalators. The role requires scheduling, coordinating with multiple internal groups, and ensuring safety and quality in a challenging urban setting.

The ideal candidate has five years of full-time related experience, supervisory exposure, and proficiency with ASME codes, EAM, Power BI, and

Qualifications

Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in installation, maintenance and repair of elevators or escalators, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
Familiarity with applicable ASME codes, safety codes, electrical codes, and related standards.
Experience conducting elevator and escalator inspections and using EAM, Power BI and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

Oversees an assigned group of subordinate staff in testing and acceptance of NYC transit elevators and escalators.
Schedule and assign supervisors and employees to meet project timelines and ensure quality.
Conduct inspection reviews and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.
Coordinate work with other MTA groups (C&D, communications, Architecture, Mechanical, etc.).
Ensure working environments comply with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
