Job summary

Velis Associates, Inc is seeking a Draftsman/AutoCAD Operator to design elevator cab interiors, entrances and architectural products, collaborating with the project management team to deliver accurate drawings from layouts and plans.

The ideal candidate will prepare detail drawings for approval and fabrication, revise shop drawings as comments come in, and bring a can-do attitude, precision, and teamwork to a PM-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to prepare detailed drawings.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural plans.
• Strong time management and ability to work in teams.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of construction and fabrication methods.
• Detail oriented with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate detail drawings for approval and fabrication.
• Revise shop drawings based on Architect/GC comments.
• Collaborate with project management to design interiors and architectural products.
• Analyze situations to find practical solutions.
• Manage time effectively in a PM-driven environment.
