Job summary

Long Island Hyatt-LIH in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a guest-focused room service team member to set up orders, deliver to rooms within 20-30 minutes, and ensure accuracy of trays and condiments.

Develop knowledge of menu items and beverage service, uphold service standards and alcohol awareness, and promptly follow up with guests after meals; this is a Full-time, on-site role with weekend and holiday rotation. Strong communication and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders and deliver to rooms within approximately 20-30 minutes.
• Develop knowledge of menus, dish and glassware service.
• Follow proper tray setup with condiments, beverages and special requests.
• Ensure accuracy of food orders and trays for delivery.
• Develop knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine and comply with alcohol awareness procedures.
• Return checks and payments to cashier; call guest after 5-10 minutes to ensure satisfaction.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations.
• Maintain ability to work in a standard office-like setting for coordination with team.
