Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Chandler, AZ, seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming patient environment. You will perform daily occupied and discharge cleaning and support infection prevention with proper PPE and waste handling.

You will work closely with patients, visitors, and clinical/non-clinical staff to ensure timely room turnovers and adherence to cleaning standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in cleaning and infection control protocols.

• Experience in healthcare cleaning environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and safe chemical handling.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies and equipment, manage waste streams per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE use.
