Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a senior client-platform engineer to own and evolve the ELERA POS client—the Vue 3 and TypeScript application framework behind our fixed-lane, self-checkout, kiosk, and mobile experiences.

The role is platform-focused, not feature-centric, and includes mentoring, architecture work, and maintaining a dual UI generation strategy while integrating legacy Dojo with the modern client. This is a senior track with a defined architect growth path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional web development; 9+ years for senior level.
• Strong TypeScript and OO programming skills with generics and strict mode.
• Deep experience in Vue 3 and modern component frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test/debug UI and client framework in Vue 3/TypeScript.
• Mentor team and design for internal and external extension points.
• Own client extensibility model, DI, plugin loading, and config merge chain.
• Maintain backward compatibility for plugins and earlier framework versions.
• Publish versioned shared packages with semantic versioning and deprecation discipline.
• Keep two UI generations shippable, migrate Dojo gradually.
• Extend device integration layer and mock device harness for full client run.
