Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a senior client-platform engineer to own and evolve the ELERA POS client, a Vue 3 and TypeScript framework used across fixed-lane, self-checkout, kiosk, and other experiences. This role focuses on architecture over features, including a dependency-injection system, plugin loading, and a multi-generation UI strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional web development experience (Sr role) or 9+ years for Sr IV, focused on client-side.
• Strong TypeScript/OO programming, generics, and strict mode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test/debug client UI and client framework in Vue 3 and TypeScript, mentor the team.
• Design with internal and external developers in mind (retailer, partner, services engineers).
• Own and extend the client extensibility model (DI, plugin loading, UI slots, merge chain).
• Maintain backward compatibility for plugins and customizations from older framework versions.
• Publish versioned shared packages with semantic versioning and deprecation discipline.
