Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools – Mount Zion Primary in Jonesboro, Georgia seeks an Elementary School Teacher for World Language to teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural studies.

You will plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and communicate with families while keeping an organized, student-centered classroom. A Bachelor’s degree and Georgia teaching certification (T-4 to T-7) are required; one year of teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred.
• Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the GaPSC.

Responsibilities

• Creating engaging lesson plans; planning classroom activities to motivate students; preparing visual aids; grading homework and exams; coaching students individually or as a group.
• Communicating with parents and other teachers about a student's progress and other tasks as assigned.
• Providing specific and timely feedback on academic efforts, behavior and work quality, and maintaining a classroom that is designed and organized for maximal student learning.
