Job summary

EAST HARTFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS in Connecticut is seeking a parttime instructional support position. The role provides support to instructional areas as defined by the grant, including dropout prevention, early childhood education, and parent involvement, with duties spanning tutoring, homework supervision, and student assistance.

The position runs six hours daily for ten months per year, with salary paid hourly. Requires a Bachelor's Degree and direct classroom experience with Pre-K–12 students.

Reports to: Principal

JOB GOAL

Provides support to specialized area of instruction as specified in the State of Connecticut Priority School District Grant, i.e. dropout prevention, early childhood education and parent involvement. Areas of involvement are teacher directed student academic reinforcement activities, school homework program, testing, home/school relations, verbal and document translation, assisting suspended and expelled students, study and organizational skills, conflict resolution and peer mediation.
