Job summary

Winchendon Public Schools in Winchendon, Massachusetts is seeking an elementary Title I Tutor to provide targeted reading interventions for students who need extra support and to help them reach grade-level proficiency.

This is a temporary, per diem position funded through Title I, with responsibilities including collaboration with regular education teachers, tracking progress with data, and delivering small group or one-on-one instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience providing targeted reading interventions is preferred.
• Ability to monitor student progress and report results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with regular education teachers, support staff, administrators, aides and parents in order to monitor student progress and compliance.
• Make data-driven instructional decisions to improve student outcomes.
• Collect and report progress monitoring data for all student goals.
• Complete and dispense information regarding student progress at least as often as students in the general education setting.
• Provide individual, small group, co-teaching resource support and specialized instruction based on student's needs
