Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC is seeking an Elementary Tennis Coach to run engaging tennis classes for Grades K-3 across Bay Area elementary schools. This is a part-time position with 1–1.5 hour sessions, weekdays after school, and a total of 2–5 hours per week.

Classes are conducted in person at various Bay Area sites. You will join a dynamic team, attend a two-day training, manage classes of 8–16 children, and ensure attendance, parent communication, and student feedback each session.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation in Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Manage class sizes of 8–16 students aged 5–10 years.
• Teach tennis classes using provided lesson plans.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session.
• Transport equipment and set up before classes.
• Take attendance and sign in/out students; communicate with parents and school staff.
• Provide feedback for each student after the session.
• Capture photos each session.
