Job summary

Calex-Sports-Inc seeks an Elementary Tennis Coach to teach grades K-3 across Bay Area schools. You will lead classes and support a lead coach in a dynamic PE program focused on activity and skill development.

This part-time role offers 2–5 hours weekly, with classes typically 1–1.5 hours between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Weekday and weekend availability, in-person work, and a flexible schedule. Prior tennis experience is welcome but not required; US visa not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application.
• Previous tennis teaching or playing experience preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class in a professional manner.
• Flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation across the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working.
• Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload on our website and introduce your experience in sports.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of ages 5 – 10 in after-school tennis programs.
• Assist the lead coach in teaching and overall program management.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport tennis equipment to and from class.
• Set up the tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for each class.
