Job summary

BCSD is seeking an Elementary Teacher for a mid-year start in January 2027 at Burlington, IA. The successful candidate will hold a valid Iowa teaching license with the appropriate endorsement and will collaborate with paraeducators, staff, and volunteers to support student growth across elementary subjects.

Emphasis on effective instruction, classroom management, data-informed planning, and culturally responsive practices in a diverse schooling environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Iowa teaching license with the appropriate endorsement code for subject area (102/148).
• Knowledge of subject, curriculum, and effective teaching methods.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in oral and written communications.
• Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.
