Job summary

Aberdeen School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE elementary teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The role requires a valid Washington State teaching certificate with Elementary Education endorsement and a preference for bilingual Spanish speakers.

The selected candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to plan inclusive educational programs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families and community partners. Retirement and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a valid Washington State teaching certificate with endorsement in Elementary Education.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking is preferred.
• Experience in inclusive education models is preferred.
• Ability to plan instructional programs for diverse learners.
• Strong communication with students, families, staff and community is essential.
• Proficiency with educational technology to enhance learning is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and meaningful education programs for eligible students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team to assess needs and progress.
• Schedule and conduct conferences with students, parents, staff and outside agencies.
• Coordinate training and assignments of instructional assistants.
• Prepare reports and maintain required documentation.
• Communicate student progress to families.
• Engage in extracurricular programs and meetings as required.
