Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium invites applications for an Elementary Teacher at Madison Elementary School for Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive classroom, deliver comprehensive instruction in core subjects, and develop students' academic and social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs/504s/ELL plans, collaborating with families and staff, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement in Elementary Education
• Competency in content area
• Knowledge of effective instruction and best practices
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
• Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills
• Competency in student management and supervision

Responsibilities

• Create an inviting and nurturing classroom that meets the needs of all learners academically, culturally, socially and emotionally.
• Collaborate, create and implement rigorous lessons aligned with district and state standards by grade and subject matter.
• Implement IEPs, 504s, ELL lessons and general education plans with integrity and fidelity.
• Use multiple assessments to measure and support student growth and development.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and behavior.
• Establish clear expectations and engaging lesson plans to provide a safe environment for growth.
• Build partnerships with parent/guardians to maximize student support.
• Participate in professional development aligned with district goals.
• Be an active member of the school community through PLCs and committees.
• Engage with student activities outside of the school day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by principal or designee.
