The SEL Program Teacher Assistant supports student learning by implementing instructional and behavioral strategies, fostering independence, and promoting an inclusive classroom environment. Working closely with the instructional teacher, they assist with academics, and social development, while adapting materials and collecting data. This role also includes modeling appropriate communication, preparing learning resources, implementing behavior plans and assisting with behaviors related to social emotional learning. Through collaboration and professional growth, the teacher assistant helps create a supportive learning community for all students.
The starting hourly rate is $18.78 (teacher assistant specific) depending on education, certification and experience. The maximum hourly rate for this position is $20.66. Benefits are offered with a full-time position.
