Job summary

Peoria Unified School District in Cheyenne Elementary, Peoria, AZ, is seeking a Certified Teacher for elementary general education (PreK-8) to join a 9-month term. The role works under the supervision of the principal and aligns with the district salary schedule.

Responsibilities include creating engaging lesson plans, documenting student grades, and fostering a safe, inclusive classroom. A valid AZ teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one is required, along with an IVP fingerprint

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate or eligible to become certified in Arizona.

Requirements: A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona. Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Other Requirements:

• Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification
• Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government issued ID
• May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds
• May be required to lift students weighing up to 60 pounds
• May be required to work outside normal working hours
• May be required to travel to perform work functions
