Peoria Unified School District is seeking a Certified Teacher for an elementary assignment at Apache Elementary in Peoria, AZ. The position supports PreK-8/general elementary education and runs for a 9-month term.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans.
• Document and share student grades and evaluations.
• Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and uphold district policies.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; take necessary precautions.
• Available to students and parents outside regular hours when required.

Requirements: A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona. Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Other Requirements:

• Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification
• Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government issued ID
• May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds
• May be required to lift students weighing up to 60 pounds
• May be required to work outside normal working hours
• May be required to travel to perform work functions
