Job summary

The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring an Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. This role provides academic and functional instruction to students with Autism or PDD, monitors progress, and develops IEPs with goals and objectives.

Behavioral management is supported through SMART programs and positive behavior plans. LifeWorks Schools are licensed therapeutic day schools, offering a rigorous curriculum and tailored supports to promote pro-social outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Education or Special Education required.
• PA certification in Special Education preferred.
• Content area certifications preferred.
• Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or PDD in a school setting.
• Monitor student progress through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods.
• Develop and monitor IEPs, attend IEP meetings, and work toward goals outlined in the IEP.
• Manage student behavior with individualized motivational systems and positive behavior support plans.

The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring for Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year.

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. The Elementary Teacher: provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.
