Seekonk Public Schools is seeking an Elementary TAP Para Professional (Instructional Aide) at Martin Elementary School in Seekonk, MA. This full-time role supports therapeutic and behavioral elements under the supervision of the special education teacher, with data collection responsibilities for student progress.

Starting immediately for the 2026-2027 year, compensation ranges from $19.66 to $25.39 per hour, depending on education and experience, per the local AFSCME agreement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree and/or passing score on Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with children and adults.
• Ability to relate well with students, colleagues, parents, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Assist students in academic endeavors and developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations.
• Respond to the unique needs, learning styles, and service delivery responsibilities as set forth in the IEP.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, regular education staff and administrators.
• Demonstrate flexibility, organization and communication skills.
• Follow programmatic mandates under the direction of the SPED teacher/principal.
• Provide ongoing communication with the SPED teacher/principal regarding student performance, concerns, and outcomes.
• Facilitate optimal student learning.
• Monitor behavioral expectations.
• Collect data when appropriate.
• Comply with programmatic requirements.
• Demonstrate consistency and integrity in student programming.
• Assure confidentiality of all student information and matters related to special education.
• Complete training in de-escalation strategies and restraint training.
