Job summary

Buff/Rocsci School seeks a Support Teacher to provide extra instruction and learning support to elementary students who need it. The role works with classroom teachers and families to help students build skills and reach learning goals.

You will plan lessons, implement IEPs/504 plans, assess progress, and participate in student support meetings and professional development. This is a full-time position starting 10/12/2026.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required.
  • Valid teaching certification (e.g., Students with Disabilities or appropriate grade level) is required.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-age students.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction in reading, writing, math, or other areas of need.
  • Plan lessons that match each student's skill level, goals, and learning style.
  • Carry out IEPs, 504 plans, and academic intervention plans, including required accommodations and modifications.
  • Assess student progress regularly and keep data on growth and needs.
  • Work with classroom teachers on planning, co-teaching, and adapting materials.
  • Take part in student support, CSE, and parent meetings.
