Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or 48 college credits or pass paraeducator assessment test.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.
• Experience or training in reading instruction, remediation, and assessment.
• Experience working with students in grades K-5 (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students throughout the school day.
• Communicate concerns to the principal regarding safety standards.
• Tutor individuals or groups in specific skills as directed by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in administering instructional or behavioral programs.
• Plan daily/weekly with teachers and staff servicing the same students.
• Assist with room maintenance and inventory of books and equipment.
