Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Options include AA degree or 48 college credits or state paraeducator test.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar; trained in reading instruction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students throughout the day per policies.
• Communicate concerns to the principal about safety or cooperation.
• Help students problem solve and resolve conflicts.
• Report safety hazards to the main office.
• Assist with opening food items, spills cleanup and area maintenance.
• Tutor individuals or groups and assist with instructional programs.
• Plan daily/weekly with teachers and staff servicing the same students.
