Job summary

Lake Washington School District seeks a Student Success Facilitator to partner with staff, students, and families to improve engagement, attendance, behavior, and social-emotional outcomes at Bell and Frost Elementary. The role provides Tier 1–3 supports through behavioral interventions, coaching, and family engagement within an MTSS framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, or related field.
• Experience working with students facing behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement challenges.
• Experience implementing MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Knowledge of PBIS, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and SEL.
• Experience collaborating with families to address barriers to student success.
• Experience conducting home visits and connecting families with community resources.
• Strong de-escalation skills and ability to support self-regulation.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and use student data to monitor progress.
• Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to build trusting relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to handle difficult conversations.
• Bilingual and biliterate skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify students requiring additional behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement supports with student support teams.
• Implement targeted interventions designed to improve student self-regulation, engagement, attendance, and school success.
• Coach students on social skills, conflict resolution, self-management, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor targeted intervention plans.
• Collect and analyze student data to inform intervention decisions and monitor effectiveness.
• Support implementation of evidence-based behavioral and engagement practices.
• Partner with families to identify barriers impacting attendance, engagement, behavior, and academic success.
• Conduct home visits to strengthen school-family partnerships and improve student outcomes.
• Connect families with school and community resources.
• Facilitate restorative conversations, conflict resolution, and relationship-building processes.
• Support student re-entry and reintegration following behavioral incidents.
• Promote student accountability while maintaining positive relationships and school connectedness.
• Support implementation of proactive behavioral strategies and intervention supports.
• Facilitate structured student engagement opportunities for positive peer interactions.
