Job summary

School Administrative Unit #6 (SAU #6) is seeking an Elementary Unified Arts Teacher (Grades 3–5) to design and deliver engaging STEM and practical arts units that connect classroom learning to real-world contexts.

The role emphasizes hands-on projects, collaboration with classroom teachers, and inclusive instruction for diverse learners, with emphasis on safety, organization, and assessment through rubrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid State Educator Certificate (Elementary Education K-6, CTE/ Career & Tech, Technology Education, or STEM Endorsement).
• Specialized endorsements in CTE, Technology Education, Computer Science, or Gifted/Talented Education are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate Unified Arts/STEM curriculum for Grades 3–5.
• Facilitate hands-on makerspace activities including coding, robotics, 3D design, and design-thinking challenges.
• Introduce students to career clusters such as Agriculture, Engineering, Health Sciences, IT, and Creative Arts.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including ELL and students with IEPs/504 plans.
• Maintain a safe, organized lab environment and manage supplies and budget.
