Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Experience with classroom technology is desirable.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in tutoring students and collecting data to support classroom management.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and shopping for supplies as needed.
• Set up, organize, and replace consumable materials for class use.
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of family and program information.
• Work as a team with staff to promote a positive educational environment.
• Supervise students in the lunchroom, classroom, playground, or other areas; wipe lunch tables as needed.
• May perform general duties such as filing, data entry, copying, and answering phones.
• Assist with selling, taking and tallying tickets for school events.
• Other duties as assigned.
