Job summary

Beach Park School District 3 is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve Howe Elementary School. The SLP will provide evaluations, IEP development, and diverse service delivery to elementary students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulating goals, scheduling sessions, and consulting with teachers and families. A master’s in SLP and state licensure are required, with CFY considered.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited university.
  • Valid PEL with endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Illinois IDFPR license.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CFY candidates supported).
  • Fingerprint background check and physical exam required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders; determine severity and exit criteria.
  • Develop and monitor IEPs with goals and progress updates.
  • Schedule and conduct therapy sessions; prepare materials and ensure timely sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers/parents; provide staff training and classroom support.
  • Maintain confidential records and follow district policies.
