Job summary

Milaca Public Schools seeks an Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs under the elementary principal's supervision. The role implements district curricula, develops individual plans, and tracks progress, providing timely feedback to families and administrators.

The position runs up to 81 contract days, with anticipated full-time duty from late Oct 2026 to late Dec 2026 and Thursdays/Fridays from Jan 2027 to May 2027, prorated per total days worked.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in speech pathology/communication disorders or related discipline.
• MN Teaching License in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC's preferred.
• Experience teaching in education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and materials aligned to district goals.
• Administers elementary curriculum consistent with district objectives.
• Creates safe, conducive environments for individualized instruction.
• Conducts ongoing assessments and documents progress for IEPs.
• Communicates with parents and collaborates with staff on curriculum and compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and district administrators.
