Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time school-based role in Commerce City, Colorado. The position runs September 2026–May 2027 and involves IEP development, case management, and collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will provide individualized instruction, monitor progress, and help ensure IDEA compliance in K–5 settings at an on-site site. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or related field.
• Current or eligible for Colorado SPED teaching credential.
• Colorado authorization to provide SPED services.
• 1+ year of school setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development & progress monitoring.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.
• Manage assigned caseload and coordinate SPED services.
• Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluations as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and document data toward IEP goals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related staff.
• Support accommodations and modifications across environments.
