Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license.
  • Master's Degree is only required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
  • Experience working with young special needs students preferred.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and support for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes individualized lesson plans in all subject areas, aligning with district standards and benchmarks.
  • Administers and interprets formal and informal individualized educational assessments.
  • Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and reinforces student behavior per district policy.
  • Prepares lesson plans and materials, adapts teaching methods to meet diverse needs and communicates clear objectives.
  • Provides daily living support and operates adaptive technology as trained, including lifting and transferring students.
  • May participate in extra-duty activities per the teachers' collective bargaining agreement.
