Job summary

Collaborate with general education teachers and families, participate in MDT meetings and professional development, and maintain confidential records in line with district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior school-based teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and differentiated instruction to students with special needs as outlined in their IEPs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and provide accommodations for inclusive classroom environments.
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and support staff to foster student success and maintain open lines of communication regarding student progress.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and data-driven decision-making practices to support academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities as required.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district policies and legal requirements.
