LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA is actively hiring a certified Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. The role centers on a self-contained intellectual disability classroom and requires PA certification in Special Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education is required.
• PA certification in Special Education is required.
• Content area certifications preferred.
• Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observe and record student progress daily; develop and monitor student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.
