Guilderland Central School District is seeking Substitute Aide/Monitors to support students with disabilities and other needs in an elementary setting. You will assist teachers, supervise students, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior experience with children, especially those with special needs. Training will align with district procedures and health/safety guidelines.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children, especially students with disabilities or special needs, preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and other school personnel.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct supervision and assistance to students throughout the school day.
• Support students in accessing instruction and participating in activities.
• Assist with transitions between classrooms and other areas of the building.
• Provide individual or small-group assistance as directed by teachers or staff.
• Encourage student independence while offering appropriate levels of support.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for all students.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly classroom and school environment.
• Communicate relevant student needs to supervising staff.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
