Job summary

They will monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings and evaluations, while contributing to a structured classroom environment and inclusive practices within the least restrictive environment. A Master's stipend and ongoing professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Grade 1–6 certification (Birth–Grade 2 preferred).
• Experience with students with disabilities and their families.
• Knowledge of best practices in special education instruction and assessment.
• Experience with assistive technology and other specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide developmentally appropriate, specially designed instruction supporting early literacy, language development, social-emotional skills, and foundational learning for grades K–6.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, teaching assistants, and related service providers to support students in the least restrictive environment.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support academic, behavioral, and social development of students.
• Assist with evaluations, progress reports, and documentation required for annual reviews and reevaluations.
• Establish a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, engagement, and independence.
• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in a range of subject areas.
• Monitor and track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates and gather input.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other related meetings.
