Job summary

Bound Brook School District in Smalley School seeks an Elementary School Teacher to maximize learning for students with special needs under the principal's supervision. Implement district curriculum, document progress, and address individual student needs in a safe learning environment.

The role requires developing IEPs with PPT teams, collaborating with staff and families, and maintaining records. A SPED certification and a valid driver's license are required, with ongoing professional growth

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Special Education principles and strategies to maximize learning.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs with PPT participation.
• Experience with data-driven planning and progress reporting.
• Familiarity with state and federal education laws as they apply to SPED.
• Strong communication with students, families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess students to identify learning issues and plan interventions.
• Participate in PPTs and develop IEPs for students.
• Support implementation of IEPs and behavior plans in classrooms.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and authorities as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records and report progress to colleges/employers.
