Job summary

Fort Mill School District is seeking a Special Setting Teacher for the RISE Behavior Support Program - Elementary. Applicants must hold SC certification with an endorsement in the assigned area and a Bachelor’s degree.

The role reports to the Principal and Special Services Director and involves lesson planning, behavior supports, and collaboration with staff, parents, and community. Employment is 190 days with salary determined by the Board.

Qualifications

Valid state teaching certificate required with endorsement in the assigned area.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
Must be able to perform each essential duty assigned satisfactorily.
Applicant with teaching experience must have an acceptable evaluation rating for such teaching.

Responsibilities

Set professional goals and work to meet those goals.
Plan and implement lessons based on school policies and regulations.
Cooperate with the total staff and demonstrate professional growth.
Relate positively to staff, parents/guardians and community representatives.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials adaptable to student needs.
Maintain records and required paperwork for substitutes to comply with state/federal guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and reports in a timely manner.
Demonstrate command of standard English, both spoken and written.
