Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a dedicated School Services Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based assignment in Easton, MD for the 2026-2027 school year.

The role focuses on providing specialized instruction in the general education setting, collaborating with teachers and families, and developing IEPs. The position runs 37.5 hours per week with a 36-week contract, starting ASAP and ending June 14, 2027.

Qualifications

• Maryland Special Education Teacher certification is required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Experience supporting students in inclusive/general education environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support based on individual student IEP goals.
• Support students primarily within the general education classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional strategies as needed.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and evaluations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and other members of the educational team.
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
