Job summary

The candidate will participate in IEP development, coordinate with families and agencies, and support staff with behavior management and professional growth,Ensuring compliance with district procedures.

Qualifications

• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher required.
• Masters degree in Special Education required.
• Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Successful prior special education teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents student progress and learning outcomes.
• Participates in PPTs and develops IEPs for students.
• Helps implement IEPs and behavior plans with staff and students.
• Coordinates with outside agencies and authorities as needed.
• Maintains accurate records and communicates with families and colleges.
• Supports new teachers and provides in-service guidance.
